We are tied together…

We are tied together. Through
intricate strands of wool
woven on tapestry looms.
To you, I direct this.
Pointed to the myths,
folklore and stories.
A collection of characters:
Enchanter, Saviour, Villain,
the role you played,
told in these threads.
You stayed for a time,
intertwined line after line,
sharing your shades and hues
no one else can see,
but for me and you.
You have decorated me.
Your love,
your hate,

your heart-
break.

Your laugh echoes through my vocal chords.
Your words vandalise my reflection.
Your heart splintering onto mine.
The tapestry will grow
threads tied neatly,
some loose
faces sewn some yet to be.
The loom keeps spinning
and it will continue to spin
As I wait in
anticipation.
